NYC Spotlight: Jacob’s Pickles

Jacobs Pickles
I’m unsure how I haven’t written about Jacob’s Pickles yet, but it’s easily one of my favorite brunch/lunch/dinner/ anytime places in the Upper West Side! Downside is there’s always a wait- but it’s worth it. Jacob’s is a super trendy, hip southern comfort food spot with great atmosphere. The cozy, always-packed restaurant serves up huge, rich, creamy, buttery and fabulous dishes that are guaranteed to put you in a food coma. And make your tummy happy ๐Ÿ™‚

The interior is very cool- lots of exposed brick walls, rustic decor, dim lighting and the bar is stacked and decorated with a wall of Tito’s Vodka. The food is amazingggggly decadent and they have a huge menu of delicious cocktails, root beers and lemonades (beer and wine too, of course.) They also- not surprisingly- have an extensive list of pickled things. I love anything pickled and definitely recommend the pickled brussle sprouts! The fried chicken is tender and crunchy on the outsides…. The biscuits are fluffy and buttery… The meatloaf and ribs were superb… Basically, don’t dare try to be on any type of diet hype when you come here. Because you’ll die. And never taste how good the food is here! Here’s a rundown of some of my favorite dishes:

That looks like a great place. I am from Long Island, and now live in Oklahoma, but whenever I go back to visit, I love to go to the city and am always looking for new restaurants to try. Your pics are fun to browse through also, brings me back to NY!
