The Inaugural Pink Ball at The Museum of Ice Cream San Francisco

The Museum of Ice Cream San Francisco is a magical world of everything fun, pink, whimsical and delicious. It’s an outrageous confection-themed wonderland that showcases brightly colored rooms filled with things like larger-than-life gummy bears, lollipops and candies, because why wouldn’t it? Within this adorbz pop-up of interactive, showstopping exhibits are tons of picture-perfect photo opportunities. Literally, every backdrop is Instagram GOLD.

There’s a Rainbow exhibit which is “a tribute to San Francisco’s history of acceptance” that’s home to a pony-sized unicorn. In the 1950’s retro Marye’s Diner you see a lit-up, neon-pink jukebox and a wall covered in pink records. You can go for a swing in a room covered in bubblegum pink whipped cream cans. Or in another room that has pink bananas hanging from the ceiling. Then there’s a hot pink rock-candy cave where you’re given strawberry Pop Rocks (one of my favorite candies growing up!). And of course, there’s the Instagram-famous sprinkle pool filled with a bajillion plastic colored sprinkles that get all over the place. Literally. That said, you can’t go to the Museum of Ice Cream and not take a solid photoshoot’s worth of images in the famous pool of sweet splendor.

After randomly meeting and hitting it off with a group of MoIC’s incredibly awesome employees one very late night at Seniore’s Pizza on 19th street, my friend and I were invited to be their guests at the MoIC’s inaugural Pink Ball! See what unexpectedly fantastic things can happen over late-night pizza? Upon arrival at the red-carpeted event, I was welcomed with a pink flower corsage, while my date received a matching pin corsage. Very prom-like… I absolutely loved it!

We got to party the night away with MoIC’s founders, Maryellis Bunn and Manish Vora, and all of our new homies we met at Seniore’s. Next level ice cream-centric experiences, photo opps galore, a bomb DJ playing Bay Area slaps, tequila-le croix-rose cocktails, a strawberry chocolate fountain and amazing company are just a few of the things that made the night superbly special!
